Understanding Wiring Harness Quality Guidelines (CQI-35)

Course Duration: 1 Day

This one-day seminar is intended to provide participants with an overview of CQI-35 Wiring Harness Quality Guidelines, which, along with internationally recognized quality management system standards and customer-specific requirements, are key to reducing and eliminating the impact of escapes to the organization and customer.

The Wiring Harness Quality Guidelines focuses on automotive wiring to ensure safety, reliability and performance by reducing risks, enhancing efficiency and optimizing wiring for power and data transmission. Implementing these guidelines will help boost vehicle safety and performance while lowering costs by minimizing non-conforming parts, cutting rework expenses, and driving innovation in wiring design and manufacturing.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the scope and requirements of the Wiring Harness Quality Guidelines
  • Be able to prepare and conduct a Wiring Harness Quality assessment
  • Understand the use of CQI-35 as a management tool to ensure and verify that processes and procedures are being followed as intended
