Information Security Management System (ISMS) Awareness training

Course Duration: 1 Day - 8 Hours/day

This course runs for 1 day and was developed to spread awareness among all the employees of any organization on the importance of information security, common vulnerabilities and best practices to follow in order to minimize such risks. The content includes controls that are based out of the ISO 27000 series standard and recommendations from experts with maintaining IT systems within small, medium and large organizations. Group exercises, case studies and discussions will be used to reinforce the learning objectives and develop the required skills.

  • Understand the application of Information Security Management principles in the context of ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
  • Relate the Information Security Management system to the organizational products, services, activities and operational processes.
  • Relate organization’s context and interested party needs and expectations to the planning and implementation of an organization’s Information Security Management system.

  • Global incidents on information security breaches
  • Common Intrusion Points
  • Types of Threats and Attacks
  • IT Best Practices – At office environments, mobile environment
  • Email practices
  • Managing access
  • Travel precautions and working remote.
  • Post-test
  • Breakout scenarios and group discussions will be held after each chapters
