This training prepares participants for the intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor (Automotive SPICE®) exam and builds on the knowledge acquired in the intacs®-certified Process Expert course.

Participants will deepen their understanding of the assessment process, develop techniques for conducting assessments, and gain practical insights to support certified Lead Assessors as co-assessors—whether internally or at supplier sites.

The training also enables participants to optimize processes based on assessment results. Homework assignments will be completed and presented during the course. Active engagement throughout the training is essential for success.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding the details of the assessment process activities to be performed
  • Learning the skills required to support assessments (e.g., work product reviews, interviews, note-taking, reporting)
  • Gaining a detailed understanding of rating and rating guidelines as defined in the Automotive SPICE® guideline
  • Developing the capability to act as a co-assessor alongside a certified Competent or Principal Assessor

Course Materials

The certificate of participant will be issued by Omnex.

The exam is conducted by VDA-QMC.

Note: Omnex does not provide copies of standard(s) during training courses, but clients are encouraged to have their own copy.

Pre-Requisite

  • intacs® certified Process Expert Automotive SPICE®
  • Participants should have several years of professional experience in the automotive industry or related sectors—in areas like software or system development, project management, quality assurance, or process improvement.

Exam

The exam is administered exclusively by VDA QMC; Omnex does not conduct or proctor the examination.

  • Examination fees are separate from the training price.
  • Online delivery is facilitated via Zoom or similar
  • Webcam access is mandatory throughout the exam session.
  • Participants must ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free environment.
  • Passing the exam is a prerequisite for entering the VDA QMC certification process

Certification

  • VDA QMC charges additional fees for certification beyond the examination for the granting of a license (Certification Fee).
